Salutatio I Reading
Derivative Rome Story: When I had just exited off my vehicle there was so much to take in. All around me was the looks of a superb city. And upon arrival the very first thing caught my surprise, it was a oratory, which was strange for the Romans were deists not Christians. Next to this chapel was a negligible figure, one could say they had the looks of a desperado. I approached this stranger to get an alto response, which took me by surprise. I had been talking to myself and this deep voiced women took the kind action in correcting my religious error, that emperor Constantine had made Rome’s soul religion Christianity. I thanked her for the correction and continued towards the heart of Rome, which I had not expected to see such destruction along the way. There were many clients in the roads listening to their masters, and this was a big cultural change from any Greek cities I’d been to. There was also lots of invective disputes between citizens, which set the bar low for myself. But to my original thought, the heart of Rome was elegant and beautiful, with superb architecture and a city to remember.

Semester Reflections: My biggest challenge this semester was either paying attention, or the portfolio. It isn’t just for this class but in general I feel myself more distracted than in person learning. To change this would to not have my phone in the same room as me while in school. The portfolio was hard not because of the assignments but linking and putting them into my website was challenging, but I overcame this with experimentation and helpful videos.
My greatest accomplishment this semester was maintaining high grades without the help I usually get from in person. When I learn in person I find myself asking more questions and usually understanding what’s going on. For this year despite not asking many questions I am still consistently doing well on tests.
